Do I need to know about Tarot to play?

Not at all! We included some handy tables for you, where you can find each card’s meaning, prompts for generating scenarios, characters, or mood and tone. Additionally if you decide to get our Tarot deck as well, you’ll receive a Guidebook that contains the deeper meanings of the cards.

How many people can play it?

We recommend a group size of 5 (one game master or Seer, and four players or Agents) for the most comfortable experience, but if you feel adventurous you can go even for six. In case you would want a more personal and intimate experience, there is a game mode for one player as well.

Can I use these rules in another setting?

Yes, of course, you can adapt it as you see fit, but you might have to tinker with the character classes.

Why does it take so long until shipping?

While most of the game is already done, the illustrations take some more time. We also learned in the past that manufacturing a multitude of different components can have its difficulties, and there can always be some delays here or there, so we made it part of the plan.

I never backed a Kickstarter before, how does this all work until I get my reward?

First, you back the project here on Kickstarter. That means that you support us in making the project, and that you will get rewards depending on the amount of your backing.

After the Kickstarter campaign is over, it will take a couple of weeks until you will get an invitation to the so-called BackerKit pledge manager. This will be sent to your mail address you use on Kickstarter, so make sure this is an address you check regularly!

Follow the link you get, and you will see the Backer Survey. Here you enter the necessary information we will need to ship the products to you - that will usually just be your shipping address. You will also get the chance to change your pledge to a higher one if you would like to, or to add add-ons. Afterwards you proceed to pay for shipping, the amount depending on which country you want the physical rewards to be shipped to.

When you are done with your Backer Survey and paid for shipping or any potential upgrades to your pledge, you are all done on your side! The rest is on us. We’ll make sure to finish production and manufacturing as soon as possible, and send your rewards to you.

We will stay in touch with updates and calls to action if there’s anything you need to do throughout the entire process, so you always know what you have to do. And don’t worry, it’s not complicated!

What is the BackerKit pledge manager?

A few weeks after the Kickstarter is over, backers will receive a link inviting them to their pledge survey on BackerKit, a website that will allow them to add on items and pay for shipping, add-ons, etc. It functions much like a web store with photos and descriptions of each item. You will be able to enter your address and edit it before we ship the project. Nearly all large Kickstarter projects use a pledge manager as they greatly help organize, track, and fulfill orders.

How do I know I am receiving the exclusive first 48 hour Print?

As long as you pledge for a physical tier before 30th Sept, 17:00 CEST (8:00 AM PDT), then you’ll receive the free Print!

I’m currently not able to pledge for a higher reward, can I still upgrade my pledge after the campaign ends?

Here’s what you could do: Make a smaller pledge, whatever you can afford now. Soon after the campaign, we’ll be opening up the BackerKit’s pledge manager, so you can still upgrade to a higher pledge like the Art Deluxe. Prices in the pledge manager will be the same as during the Kickstarter, as long as you already backed anything during the campaign.

Is it possible to get add-ons without ANY other pledge if I pledge $1 to get access to the BackerKit?

Yes, you will be able to add add-ons in the pledge manager at the discounted backer price as a $1 backer.

Is it possible to change my pledge during the Kickstarter campaign or afterwards?

Yes, by using the “Edit My Pledge” link on the campaign page.You can upgrade your pledge via BackerKit, which will open a couple of weeks after the Kickstarter closes.

When will my payment be taken out of my account?

Funds will be processed for this project after the campaign closes. You will receive an email from Kickstarter with further details.

If I already got the “Art Book - Art of the Game” through the previous Sefirot campaign or the Sefirot shop, should I still get the new art book?

The art book is unchanged to the version that was sold in the previous campaign and through our shop, and is about the Tarot Deck and the Board Game. So, unless you want to get a second copy, you don’t need to get the art book again. There are plans for a new art book at a later point.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Terms and Conditions

By pledging for the project it is assumed you acknowledged and agreed on the following terms and conditions:

By backing this project — you acknowledge that you are not guaranteed to receive products in the exact specification they are presented on this campaign page. The products are still under development, and may still change in size, appearance, or content. We will do what is humanly possible to deliver all pledged items to a quality you would expect and to meet all your expectations.

Refunds — We will fully refund any pledges, no questions asked, within 14 days of the campaign’s end. We will continue to refund your pledges after this period with a 10% deduction from the refund, to cover the fees we already had to pay to Kickstarter and/or BackerKit. We will stop offering refunds when we close the Pledge Manager.
We are planning to start the fulfilment process in July of 2024, but that may move to a sooner or later date. You will be notified of any changes in monthly campaign updates.

Shipping and Fulfilment — If you confirm your pledge prior to final address confirmation and initiation of distribution notification via email, you agree that our responsibility to you is to ship your order as entered into our pledge manager system, that title and risk passes to you upon delivery to a common carrier for such shipment, and you are responsible for import duties or any other duties that may be payable to the relevant tax authorities, providing correct address information and ensuring this address is deliverable by normal methods.

Fulfilment and Survey Deadline — By backing the project, you are responsible for providing up to date email addresses both on Kickstarter and PledgeManager, and for reading updates as they come out to be informed of all project related information and the deadline dates. Tracking info will be automatically sent to provided email addresses, and it is your responsibility to follow up on your packages should problems arise. Also, please supply an email address that you use on a regular basis. Failure to confirm mailing addresses prior to final request and distribution notification will be taken as agreement that all obligations have been met and no further action or effort is required on the part of Causa Creations.

We will attempt to alert you via the methods provided by Kickstarter and BackerKit, primarily e-mail, prior to distribution of rewards to avoid any issue, but once we’ve made all reasonable efforts, we must move on with other business and will be unable to make exceptions.

Damaged or Missing Items, Lost or Misdelivered Packages — In case of damaged or missing items, report the issue to [email protected] within 30 days of your packages’ arrival. In the case of lost or misdelivered packages, you have 60 days from the ship date to report the issue; we will subsequently follow up on the items or resend them.

Note: For our dear Brazilian backers and those who live in countries with notorious import checks: we want to warn you about customs, since during the fulfilment of our previous campaign we discovered that these fees can be extremely high. Do consider backing us for only the Digital Version, and acquiring the Spheres of Heaven Tarot deck from Amazon or other assorted book vendors: this would still let you play the game, while avoiding extortionate fees.
